Objectives of the role:
In the framework of the United Nations’ Sustainable Energy for All initiative, the European Commission has launched a Technical Assistance facility to support developing countries to improve their policy and regulatory framework conditions aiming at providing attractive and enabling conditions for increased public and private investment in energy access, energy supplies, renewable energy as well as energy efficiency. The facility DAI is recruiting for targets Asian, Caribbean, Latin America and Pacific regions (excluding Central Asian countries). The Rural Electrification Expert will have overall responsibility for overseeing and delivering Rural Electrification related technical assistance packages and will be responsible to the project manager. The expert will be in charge of other non-key experts in their domains of intervention and can act as “Team Leader” for specific activity areas, in addition to being responsible for quality control. Some travel will be required to Brussels and to partner countries.
