PSOJ Energy & Environment Management Workshop

The PSOJ has been administering the Proinvest facility for Capacity Building of Caribbean Private Sector Environmental and Energy Management Capabilities Project funded by the European Commission.

In keeping with the terms of the Project, we have been conducting related workshops on energy/environmental.  We are pleased to advise that the next workshops will be held in

Kingston:                  Wednesday June 1 at the Terra Nova Hotel from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm

Montego Bay:           Wednesday June 8 at the Wexford Court Hotel from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm

We extend an invitation to you to attend this very important workshop. Space is limited, and registration will be done on a “ first come, first served’ basis.  The completed registration form and the registration fee of Five Thousand Dollars (JMD 5,000.00) should be paid prior to the workshop in order to confirm your participation.  Please see the attached registration form for your attention.

At this workshop, Caribbean ESCo., one of Jamaica’s leading energy services company, will present general findings from ongoing local and regional case studies, and the current state of energy and environmental management at the firm level.


Participants will learn:

  • The best practices to implement and mistakes to avoid
  • Why an energy audit is necessary for every business, what is involved and how an energy audit can improve your bottom line
  • How to read and utilize energy and environmental audit reports
  • How to implement recommended measures and monitor their effectiveness to reap significant savings
  • Energy efficiency measures and potential applications of alternative energy – easy ways to save money and energy
  • Financial and technical issues


The workshop will also introduce a soon to be launched energy and environmental management website that project developers, or anyone interested in energy and environmental management, will be able to use to connect with potential investors and stay abreast of the latest local and regional developments in the field.
