The occasion was last Thursday’s handing over of a Solar Photovoltaic System at the HELP Jamaica! Education Centre in Cassava Piece, St Andrew. The centre is now completely run on solar power. It was set up in 2010 by Help Jamaica! Kingston — a spin-off of HELP Jamaica! e.V., which was founded in Berlin, Germany, in 2008 to raise funds to support education initiatives in most needy areas of Kingston. Apart from Cassava Piece, a centre is also in Trench Town.
