PCJ’s Dr Raymond Wright dies

THE Petroleum Corporation of Jamaica is now mourning the passing of Dr Raymond Wright, a former Group Managing Director from 1994-2005 and since 2005, Manager of Special Projects.

Dr Wright passed away at his home last night after a prolonged illness.

A geologist by profession he was instrumental in the conceptualization and founding of the PCJ in 1979. He had a long career in the field of energy and is respected internationally and is known for his contributions especially in the areas of renewable energy and oil and gas exploration.

He authored several books including Energy: The New Agenda and Jamaica’s Energy. He was seventy-one years old.
