OUR suspends unsolicited proposal for renewable energy

The Office of Utilities Regulation, OUR, has shed light on its decision to suspend the non-competitive process for the procurement of electricity from renewable sources.

Director-general of the OUR, Zia Mian says the agency will not be accepting any unsolicited proposals as it would not be feasible at this time.

He says it will also allow the OUR to focus its attention elsewhere:

“Until we complete the procurement in April, we will not be accepting any unsolicited proposal because it takes a lot of time…we will be focusing all our resources to complete the competitive procurement process.”  The director-general of the OUR was speaking last Friday at the weekly RJR News forum.
