Jason Robinson Creating a Buzz in Renewable Energy Market

Jamaica is set to achieve 30 per cent of its electricity from renewables within two years, putting the country in a good position to achieve the revised target of having 50 per cent of energy use being generated from renewable sources by 2030.

These strides made in the local energy sector represent a return on the investment Jason Robinson made to set up a renewable energy company in Jamaica, particularly during a period when consumers were unfamiliar with the solutions.

Jason Robinson is the CEO of Solar Buzz Jamaica, which focuses on lowering clients’ energy cost through solar and renewable energy installation.

“Ten years on… when I look at where we’ve come, it’s very remarkable, that we have made it this far and we have lasted. There have been many a solar company that has started and closed their doors,” Robinson told Young People in Business.
