Hydrometry Workshop

A partnership of the Caribbean Renewable Energy Development Programme (CREDP-GTZ), the GEF-IWCAM Project, the European Development Fund (EDF), SEBA Hydrometrie GmbH, and Egis BCEOM International.


The importance of Hydrometric Networks was discussed at a major Hydrometry Workshop to be held in St. Vincent & the Grenadines.


The workshop was hosted by the Caribbean Renewable Energy Development Programme (CREDP-GTZ) at the Subset Shores Hotel from May 18th to 20th.


Participants  came from the administrative and utility sector of beneficiary countries within the Caribbean.


The workshop was intended to enhance the understanding of decision makers with authority over the establishment of hydrometric networks.


It  covered topics including ‘Hydrometric Networks in a Political Context’, ‘Financing of Hydrometric Networks’ and ‘Hydrometric Data’.


Workshop Objectives:

– to inform re. the purpose of Hydrometric Networks
– to give guidelines for the design of Hydrometric Networks
– to inform re. the latest measuring technology
– to exchange information amongst countries of the region.
