CIER 2009. The International Conference on Renewable Energy, Energy Saving and Energy Education

The International Conference on Renewable Energy, Energy Saving and Energy Education (CIER) is the most important event in Cuba in the subject of the study and use of renewable and non renewable energy, which takes place every two years and the corresponding conducting its sixth edition from 9 to 12 June 2009 at the Palacio de Convenciones in Havana.

The CIER2009 provides an excellent platform for sharing experiences and create synergies among professionals, scientists, technicians, businessmen, government representatives, international agencies and the general public interested in publicizing and promoting advances in energy issues in order to achieve a sustainable energy culture.

The event is organized by the Polytechnic Institute of Havana’s Jose Antonio Echeveria (CUJAE) with its Center for the Study of Renewable Energy Technologies (CETER), who rallied to close to the Technical University of Renewable Energy (UTER) from the Ministry of Higher Education and the National Renewable Energy, Cogeneration, Energy Saving and Efficiency.

The clusters of this edition are:
1. Renewable energy, storage and hybridization
2. Economy, efficiency and energy management
3. Energy in transport
4. Energy integration, and autonomous distributed systems
5. Energy, Science, Technology and Society
6. Energy Education and Culture
7. Sustainable Built Environment.

And as always we have our sample CIER2009 exhibition EXPO.

The Organizing Committee CIER2009 inviting them to submit their experiences and trade shows with a view to achieving common objectives in a climate of friendship and solidarity.
