Caribbean Sustainable Energy Program

The Organization of American States (OAS) throughout its Department of Sustainable Development / Division of Energy and Climate Change Mitigation is implementing the Caribbean Sustainable Energy Program (CSEP). CSEP focuses on improving governance and management of the energy sector in seven small islands States of the Caribbean by providing technical assistance in the establishment of National Energy Policies and Sustainable Energy Plans.  The program engages diverse stakeholders from government, private sector and civil society.  CSEP is advancing policy reform discussions in Antigua and Barbuda, the Bahamas, Dominica, Grenada, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.  As part of this program, the Division of Energy and Climate Change Mitigation is providing capacity building and sponsoring sustainable energy public awareness campaigns with the ultimate goal of fostering the development of reliable, affordable and environmentally responsible energy services geared at sustainable development and poverty eradication.
